I have sensitive skin and love this balm. I'm on my second tin of it, which I've used on surgical scars, irritated skin, any skin that needs quieting down.

It's. Been really time consuming finding sunscreen that is affordable for EVERYDAY, safe, and not "green washing" I've been half tempted to make my own but wouldn't be able to guarantee the potency😢 MY PLAN, if budget allows, is to buy multiple along with a home made one, and switch it up, depending on the days needs. Can't expect one bottle to last us all summer anyways...... then at end of summer or sooner ill know my official go to (hopefully 😂)

Q: Is it good to use sunscreen every day?

A healthy spray sunscreen or sunscreen cream should be applied anytime you are outside in order to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

Q: How long does sunscreen last?

Sunscreen should be reapplied every 2 hours and after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, and immediately after towel drying. For children under 6 months, ask a doctor for specific instructions.

Q: Why do I need to shake Simple sunscreen?

Our organic sunscreen is a natural product and some separation can occur between the zinc oxide and the oils. Shaking before use helps to suspend the zinc in the matrix so that it will provide proper coverage to protect you from the sun's harmful rays.

Q: Is Butterbean sunscreen waterproof?

No sunscreen is 100% waterproof. Water-resistant means that the sunscreen retains its original SPF after 40 minutes in warm moving water; very water-resistant means after 80 minutes. Laboratory testing has provided the data that all of our sunscreens are very water-resistant for 80 minutes! Please remember to reapply after swimming.

Q: Is Butterbean organic sunscreen greasy?

Butterbean rubs in smoothly and is easily absorbed. Coconut, Olive, and Jojoba oils are known for the ability to penetrate the skin without leaving an oily feel. Butterbean makes an excellent non-greasy moisturizer.

Yes! Our organic skincare products are FDA compliant and have been tested on human subjects with FDA-approved laboratory procedures. Our product claims are SPF30, 80-minutes of water resistance, and UVA/UVB.

Q: How do I apply Butterbean Sunscreens?

Butterbean organic sunscreens are third-party tested to ensure an SPF of 30. SPF is dependent on the proper application of the sunscreen. In the FDA SPF test, approximately a full ounce of sunscreen is used to cover an adult body. It is important when using mineral sunscreens that you apply enough sunscreen to cover the skin well. Applying half the amount of sunscreen can leave you with a significantly lower SPF. Remember, mineral sunscreen sits on the surface of the skin. If the sunscreen is rubbed off by towel drying, sand, surf, sweat, or other, protection will be decreased. Apply a thick layer and rub in. Reapply at least every 2 hours.

Also, keep in mind that water, dirt, etc., in the container will introduce bacteria and could affect the shelf life.
