According to our research and under the approval of a certified herbalist, the ingredients used in our products (including our organic bug spray) are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Neem oil used externally is a safe bug spray during pregnancy. Lemongrass and Peppermint are at acceptable levels for children and pregnancy. We always recommend doing a skin patch test if an allergic reaction is a concern. Please check with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns and before using this product on infants.

Q: Is Bug-A Boo Organic Bug Spray effective against ticks?

Bug-A Boo Organic Bug Spray has not been tested against ticks. Our own testing shows that it helps to repel ticks, but we do not recommend reliance on our bug spray to protect you against lyme disease.

Q: How does organic bug spray kill bugs?

Our organic bug spray contains Neem oil, a safe insect repellent product that keeps pests away naturally. It is a safe, natural bug spray for humans.

Q: Can I use Bug-A Boo Organic Bug Spray on my pets?

Yes, the amount of Neem oil used in our organic bug spray should not affect pets adversely. Essential oil use in cats is controversial. Ask your veterinarian before using our insect repllent/mosquito bug spray on your cat. There are not many studies done on how much Neem oil can be ingested before it becomes toxic. Results show if large quantities are ingested daily it can be detrimental. The effects are mostly on reproduction and are not permanent. The effects disappear when the animal stops ingesting the oil. Using our anti-bug spray on your pets is safe, though not advised on a pregnant animal (since they will most likely ingest it).

Q: Is bug spray bad for humans?
